Resumen de La captación de materias primas líticas durante el Paleolítico en el Oriente de Asturias, y su caracterización litológica en la Cuenca de los ríos Sella y Cares (Asturias, España)

This paper tries to be a first approach to the characterization of lithic raw material in Eastern Asturias, based on their identification in fluvial contexts, specifically in the alluviums of Sella and Cares rivers. Starting from Upper and Middle Paleolithic lithic assemblages of the caves of El Cierro, El Buxu, La Güelga (Sella-Güeña basin) and Coímbre (Cares basin), we have tried to identify the existing lithologies in this sites, in the immediate context. Thereby, surveys have been conducted in theses fluvial basins, as well as a lithological analysis of the surroundings, in order to identify the presence of these lithic raw materials and their possible procurement area.
