  • Resumen
    • In Sébastien Roch, Mirbeau tells about the tragic destiny of a young man who is the victim of his family, school and society. Through the events of the character’s life, the novelist reveals the tragedy of a generation deprived of freedom from birth, subjected to a dictatorial power during adolescence, hit by warfare of 1870, turned up in a scapegoat – to use the terms of René Girard. The novel has the characteristics of a historical fresco whereby writing becomes a weapon against injustice.
