  • Resumen
    • On 26 February 2014, it was approved the European Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2014/24/EU that established the mandatory use of BIM in public infrastructure tenders for all Member States of the European Union as of 26 July 2019. BIM (Building Information Modelling) is an n-dimensional model that includes all phases of the life cycle of an infrastructure, that is, it goes beyond the 3D methodology. It covers design, construction and operation/maintenance. BIM is based on parametric drawing from the simplest elements to the NURBS modelling. For its teaching, it is sufficient a first year of graphic mathematics at the university level. The communication here presented deals with the experiences gained from the implementation of this methodology in both the Degree and the Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering at the ETS de Ingenieros de Caminos of Universitat Politècnica de València
