El Inca Garcilaso y la construcción de una nación

    A partir de lo que el Inca Garcilaso representa como resultado de un encuentro de culturas y del uso que hace de los términos ‘patria’ y ‘nación’ en sus Comentarios reales, queremos explorar en este trabajo como el personaje y su obra influyeron en la gesta de independencia del Perú. Con este objetivo, repasamos la primera recepción de la obra y su difusión por potencias extranjeras a la española, la lectura de líderes indígenas como José Gabriel de Condorcanqui, Túpac Amaru II, hasta llegar a su influencia en losactores directos de la independencia como Juan Pablo Viscardo y Guzmán, y Simón Bolívar. Proponemos que la “utopía de la patria” entendida como construcción fraterna, multiétnica y solidaria que empieza a construirse con el Inca, todavía sigue en proyecto.

    From what the Inca Garcilaso represents as a result of a meeting of cultures and the use he makes of the terms ‘fatherland’ and ‘nation’ in his Actual Comments, we want to explore in this work how the character and his work influenced the gesta of independence of Peru. With this aim, we review the first reception of the work and its diffusion by foreign powers to the Spanish, the reading of indigenous leaders such as Jose Gabriel de Condorcanqui, Tupac Amaru II, until reaching its influence in the direct actors of independence as Juan Pablo Viscardo and Guzmán, and Simon Bolivar. We propose that the “utopia of the country” understood as fraternal, multiethnic and solidarity construction that begins to be built with the Inca, is still in the pipeline
