    Ernestina de Champourcin (1905-1999) fue una de las escasas poetisas del entorno del 27 y estuvo vinculada al Lyceum Club como secretaria literaria. Influida por poetas franceses en sus comienzos y fiel a su magisterio en la poesía pura de Juan Ramón Jiménez, cubre todo el arco del siglo XX, desde su primer libro publicado a los 21 años titulado En silencio (1926) hasta Presencia del pasado (1996). No le gustaba definir su poética y creía en la inspiración.

    Pertenece a la generación del 27 por poseer unas características comunes, pero no al grupo estricto de los canonizados como tales en los manuales. Vivió como exiliada en México durante treinta y tres años. Muestra su originalidad e independencia escribiendo una poesía más personal, al margen de estilísticas, formas métricas y temas. Escribe una poesía culta sin ser culterana. La consideramos una poetisa de un peculiar misticismo, por su temática y concepción de la poesía.

    Ernestina de Champourcin (1905-1999) was one of the few feminine poets of the Spanish generation around the years 27. She was the literary secretary of the Lyceum Club. She was influenced by French poets when she was still a teenager and faithful to the teaching of pure poetry promoted by Juan Ramón Jiménez, her life spans the whole XX century: from her first book entitled En silencio (1926) to Presencia del pasado (1996). She didn´t like to define her poetry. Moreover, she believed in the inspiration. She belonged to the generation of the years 27 for fulfilling some common features, but not to the strict group of canonical poets in the manuals of texts. During thirty three years she lived in exile in México. She shows her uniqueness and independence by writing a very personal poetry which is out of stylistics, metrical forms and subjects. Her poetry is cultivated but no culteranist in the sense of Góngora. We consider Ernestina de Champourcin a poet with a special mysticism because of her choice of subject and conception of poetry.
