    El presente artículo supone una aproximación al grupo dominante de las principales instituciones de Bilbao en el tránsito del siglos XVI al XVII. Tras identificar a sus miembros, se estudian sus bases de poder y estrategias de reproducción. A partir de todo ello, se reinterpreta el papel desempeñado por el Capitulado de Concordia en el proceso de adaptación de esas elites a las transformaciones de la nueva centuria.

Bertako kargudunak ezagutarazi ondoren, aginpidea eta ondorengotza estrategia aztergai dira. Azkenik, mende berrian talde zuzentzaile horrek izandako egokitzapen prozesua birplanteatzen da, Konkordiaren eraginezko testuinguruan.

    This article analyses the elites of the main institutions in Bilbao between 16th and 17th centuries. At first, their members are identified; then, it is made a study of their power base and strategies for reproducing themselves. Finally, the function of the Agreement of Concord in those elites’ process of adaptation for the changes happened in the new centuries is rethought.
