    Partiendo de lo desarrollado en el apartado introductorio del pasado número, en el presente artículo se planteó desde el momento inicial el objetivo de indagar, primero, y dar a conocer, después, el alcance de las represiones franquista y republicana en la comarca de Tierra de Barros durante la Guerra Civil y el tiempo del Primer Franquismo. Se trataba de conocer la dimensión que alcanzaron las diferentes prácticas represivas en las quince localidades seleccionadas y de comprender el entramado represivo, a la vez que se profundizaba en el análisis del conocimiento relativo a las lógicas “desde abajo” de la guerra, que garantizaron el funcionamiento correcto de la represión.

    Starting from what was developed in the introductory section of the last issue, this article set out from the beginning the objective of investigating, first, and making known, then, the extent of the Franco and Republican repressions in the region of Tierra de Barros during the Civil War and the time of the First Francoism. It was a question of knowing the extent of the different repressive practices in the fifteen selected localities and of understanding the repressive framework, while at the same time deepening the analysis of the knowledge related to the logics "from below" of the war, which ensured the proper functioning of the repression.
