Los primeros siglos de nuestra era fueron capitales en el diseño ideológico de lo que hemos venido a denominar cristianismo. Fueron muchos los pensamientos, influencias y personalidades participantes en esta magna elaboración, siendo destacada la aportación de la patrística; sin ella no podrían haberse concebido los principios básicos de la dogmática o la cristología, entre otros aspectos. El resultado ha sido un hecho incuestionable: el dominio cultural de la Iglesia y el cristianismo durante siglos, justo hasta su crisis en la Edad contemporánea. Al recorrido interpretativo de lo apuntado dedicamos las líneas que vienen a continuación.

The first centuries of our era were crucial in the ideological design of what has been referred to as Christianity. A wide range of thoughts, influences and dignitaries were involved in this great devising, among which stood out the writings of the Church Fathers. Without them the basic principles of Dogmatic Theology or Christology, among other things, could not have been contrived. The outcome has been an unquestionable fact: the cultural dominance of the Church and Christianity for centuries, up until their crisis in the Contemporary period. An interpretation of the aforementioned issues will be unfolded along the following lines.
