Resumen de Teoría, metodología e intencionalidad etnomuseológicas. Revisión de dos casos: la cultura tradicional vasca y el totem de Cunshewa

El objetivo de este trabajo es de tipo teórico y comparativo y pretende realizar una reflexión en torno a la presencia y la práctica etnomuseológica actual en la ciudad de Bilbao.
La reflexión se detiene en un tipo de museo específico tal y como es el etnológico y etnográfico, presente en diversas localidades del País Vasco. Esta gira alrededor de dos conceptos que nos parecen fundamentales: el de “elemento de la cultura material” y el del “espacio”. Para ello se han tomado como referencias principales para este trabajo, por una parte el Museo Arqueológico, Etnográfico e Histórico Vasco, de Bilbao y por otra aspectos etnomuseológicos del Musée des Civilisations de Canadá, como puntos de contraste.

Lan honen helburua teorikoa eta konparatiboa da, eta Bilboko gaur egungo praktika eta esperientzia etnomuseologikoari buruzko hausnarketa egin nahi du.
Hausnarketa Euskal Herriko hainbat herritan dauden museo etnologiko eta etnografikoei besterik ez zaie egin. Gure ustez, oinarrizkoak diren bi ideiaren inguruan finkatu da hausnarketa: “kultura materialaren elementua” eta “espazioa”. Horretarako, lan honetan oinarrizko eredutzat hartu dira alde batetik, Bilboko Euskal Arkeologia, Etnografia eta Kondaira Museoa eta erkatu ahal izateko, beste aldetik, Museé des civilisations de Canadá-ren etnomuseologiari buruzko ideiak.

The aim of this work is of a theoretical and comparative type, and it attempts to carry out a reflection on the present ethno-museological presence and practice in the city of Bilbao.
My reflections concentrate on a specific type of museum, the ethnological and ethnographical museum, present in different localities of the Basque Country. They revolve around two concepts that seem fundamental to me: that of “element of material culture” and that of “space”. To this end, the following have been taken as the principal references for this work: on the one hand, the Basque Archaeological, Ethnographic and Historical Museum, and on the other, ethno-museological aspects of the Musée des civilisations de Canadá, as points of contrast.
The definition of ethno-museology has been taken as the starting point for this, with attention paid to its specificities and taking two of the most important references and examples that exist today in Bilbao. I refer to the exhibitions on Shepherding and on the Sea, located in the above mentioned Basque Archaeological, Ethnographic and Historical Museum of the city. With these as a starting point, other ethnomuseological resources are compared and conclusions are drawn about ethno-museological practice itself.
