El texto repasa de forma muy sumaria los canales de difusión, públicos y privados, de la obra de arte vigentes en el Bilbao de finales del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX, con especial atención a las exposiciones oficiales organizadas por las instituciones provinciales y municipales y a la labor desarrollada por una crítica de arte que por entonces daba sus primeros pasos.

The text provides a summary review of the public and private channels for the diffusion of the work of art in Bilbao at the end of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX century, with special attention paid to the official exhibitions organised by the provincial and municipal institutions and the work developed by art criticism, which was taking its first steps at the time.
