En 1907 se publicó el primer cuaderno titulado Bilbao contemporaneo. En un formato de lujo se ensalza el proceso de crecimiento economico , industrial y material de Bilbao. Al mismo tiempo se homenajea a los empresarios protagonistas del proceso. Estos cuadernos que reflejan el éxito de la burguesía industrial bilbaina apenas han sido analizados por los investigadores y en este artículo ofrecemos una visión de sus contenidos y su evolución.

1907an Bilbao Contemporáneo obraren lehen koadernoa atera zen. Luxuzko argitalpen horretan, Bilboko eta Bizkaiko hazkunde ekonomiko, industrial eta materiala laudatzen zen. Halaber, garapen hori burutu zuten enpresa gizonei gorazarre egiten zitzaien. Bilbotar burgesiaren arrakastaren agerkari den obro hau, ez da egundaino aztertu. Hola bada, komunikazio honetan Bilbao Contemporáneo-ren berri emango dugu, haren sorrera, bilakaera eta ezaugarriak azalduz.

In 1907 the first notebook entitled Contemporary Bilbao was published. Produced in a luxurious format, it extolled the process of economic, industrial and material growth of Bilbao. At the same time it rendered homage to the entrepreneurs who were leading the process. These notebooks, which reflect the success of the industrial bourgeoisie of Bilbao, have barely been studied by researchers and in this article we offer a view of their contents and their evolution.
