  Este artigo constitui uma síntese compreensiva de contributos teóricos e empíricos acerca da dependência de opioides sendo mobilizado, para esta reflexão, o contributo singular da psicopatologia desenvolvimental. Inaugura-o uma breve referência às especificidades da deste paradigma e à sua elevada relevância no contexto da compreensão da problemática em estudo. A rubrica seguinte é dedicada à sinopse dos principais fatores de vulnerabilização e de proteção, atendendo não apenas ao indivíduo, mas igualmente às dimensões interpessoal e relacional, assim como cultural e contextual. Este artigo explora, ainda, o seu papel multideterminado, e as consequências da sua influência interdependente, mais frequentemente reportadas na literatura da especialidade.

  This article is a comprehensive synthesis of theoretical and empirical contributions on concerning opioid addiction, being mobilized, for this reflexion, the singular contributions of developmental psychopathology. It is inaugurated by a brief reference to the specificities of this paradigm and to its high relevance in the context of the comprehension of the problematic in study. The following rubric is dedicated to the synopsis of the main factors of vulnerabilization and protection, considering, not only the individual, but also interpersonal and relational, plus cultural and contextual dimensions. This paper additionally explores their multidetermined role and the consequences of their interdependent influence, which are more frequently mentioned in the scientific literature.
