• Resumen

  • The archaeological excavationscarried out along the years 2005 and 2006 in these archaeological sites, have revealed new informations about the Manzanares in the Pleistocene. Morphologically the geological terraces in “12 de Octubre” archaeological site are +21-22m high over the tahlweg of the Manzanares River. It detachs the presences of the levallois operatives chain. It’s accompanied by bifaces. The “Villaverde-Butarque” archaeological site stream is +25-28m high and the lithic industry correspond to the Lower/ Middle Palaeolithic Transition. Its chronological range covers from ∼33.000 and ∼24.000 BP.
