El tiempo en la prisión: construcción social de la temporalidad

    Considerando el origen social de la categoría “tiempo”, en el presente trabajo se pretende investigar, desde una mirada sociológica, etnográfica y crítica, cómo los internos de la Unidad Penitenciaria n°3 de Rosario, Santa Fe, experimentan y construyen sus temporalizaciones dentro de esta institución de encierro. Se verá cómo los sujetos modifican sus conductas afectadas por el tiempo que transcurren dentro de este espacio social, estando sus trayectorias cada vez más apegadas a las formas de hacer y de ser esperadas institucionalmente (aunque no en todos los casos). Al mismo tiempo, se resaltará cómo los internos, en esta trayectoria que pareciera sucederles sin intervención personal aparente, aprenden el arte de sobrevivir a este sistema penitenciario y a lograr sus salidas en forma más pronta. Se trabajará este aspecto prestando atención a un elemento central dentro de esta cárcel: el pabellón Pentecostal.

    Taking into consideration the social background of the category of “time”, this research tries to analyze - from a sociological, ethnographic and critical perspective – the way in which the inmates live and build their timings within the prison. This work will show how the subjects change their behavior in relation to the time that they are locked in this social space. Namely, the longer time they spend inside the prison, the closer they will achieve the expected institutional conduct (although, not for everybody). However, at one time, in this career which seems to take place without any possibility of personal dye, the investigation would try to highlight how inmates learn to survive this system, while they are looking forward to the best regard that it offers: the liberty. In this sense, aiming to this goal the following work will take into account an elemental aspect inside this particular prison: the Pentecostal pavilion.
