  Este ano se cumplen los cuarenta anos del inicio de la labor de la Corte Interamericana. En el articulo se analizan algunas de las principales tendencias que han caracterizado la actuacion de este tribunal a lo largo de sus primeras cuatro decadas de existencia. Se pone de manifiesto el caracter crecimiento expansivo y se advierte sobre algunos de los riesgos que ello trae consigo.

  This year marks the 40th anniversary of the beginning of the work of the Inter-American Court. The article analyzes some of the main trends that have characterized the performance of this court throughout its first four decades of existence. It shows the expansive growth character and warns about some of the risks that this entails.
