  La luxación aislada de la articulación carpo-metacarpiana del pulgar o Trapezio-metacarpiana (TMC) es una lesión poco frecuente pero desafiante, querepresenta el 1% de todas las fracturas de la mano. Todavía existe controversia sobre el mejor tratamiento de esta patología. La luxación aguda de la articulación TMC suele ser gestionado por tres modalidades de tratamiento: reducción cerrada e inmovilización con escayola, reducción cerrada o abierta junto con transfixión con agujas de Kirschner y reconstrucción o reparación de ligamentos y capsulorrafia. La reparación con anclajes de sutura como tratamiento primario en las luxaciones inestables se está imponiendo en la actualidad.El objetivo del presente trabajo es revisar dos casos de luxación carpo-metacarpiana del pulgar tratadas mediante reducción y fijación con agujas de Kirschner y mostrar su evolución, así como revisar la literatura.

  Isolated dislocation of the carpal-metacarpal joint of the thumb or Trapezio-metacarpal (TMC) is a rare but challenging lesion, and represents 1% of all fractures of the hand. There is still controversy about the best treatment for this pathology. Acute TMC joint dislocation is usually managed by three treatment modalities: closed reductionand immobilization with a cast, closed or open reduction with Kirschner wires fixation,and reconstruction or repair of ligaments and capsulorrhaphy.Suture anchor repair is currently being used as the primary treatment for unstable dislocations.The aimof the present work is to review two cases of carpo-metacarpal dislocation of the thumb treatedby reduction and Kirschner wiresfixation,and show their evolution.
