Resumen de Desafios na prática da conservação preventiva em colecções científicas: o caso do museu nacional de história natural e da ciência

This paper aims to present some measures that have been developed at the National Museum of Natural History and Science (MUHNAC), namely about the preservation of its scientific heritage. W will discuss two main case studies: the first and more briefly, is the Survey of the Lisbon University (UL) Cultural Heritage and the second one, the Assessment of the Scientific Collections of MUHNAC (UL). In parallel with the reflection of the challenges on preventive conservation of scientific collections, methodologies, results, evaluation and assessment tools for collections we will analyse, specifically, conservation conditions and safety of the specimens.

Pretende-se apresentar neste artigo algumas medidas que têm vindo a ser desenvolvidas pelo Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência (MUHNAC) em torno da preservação de património científico. Serão aqui desenvolvidos dois casos, o primeiro e mais sucinto, o Levantamento do Património Cultural da Universidade de Lisboa (UL) e, o segundo com maior detalhe, a Avaliação das Colecções Científicas do MUHNAC (UL). A par de uma reflexão sobre os desafios na conservação preventiva de acervos científicos, serão analisadas metodologias, resultados e instrumentos de diagnóstico e de avaliação de colecções, em particular, ao nível das condições de conservação e segurança dos espécimes.
