    El Neumotórax Catamenial es un tipo infrecuente de neumotórax que se encuentra relacionado con la menstruación y la endometriosis. El diagnóstico será por sospecha clínica ya que la mayoría de veces no se aprecian los implantes con las técnicas de imagen. Actualmente, no se requiere estudio histopatológico y/o visión directa de los implantes para iniciar tratamiento que incluye tratamiento farmacológico y/o cirugía torácica.

    Presentamos el caso clínico de una paciente con Neumotórax de probable origen catamenial.

    Catamenial pneumothorax is a rare type of pneumothorax which is associated with menstruation and endometriosis. Diagnosis is by clinical suspicion because most times implants are not seen with imaging techniques. Currently, no histopathology and / or direct view of the implants is required to initiate treatment that includes drug therapy and / or thoracic surgery.

    We report the case of a patient with a suspected origin catamenial of the pneumothorax.
