This paper describes an efficient method of teaching power quality, to senior undergraduate and postgraduate students of power systemgroups in electrical engineering departments, as a part of a power quality course. The paper shows a MATLAB-Simulink basedsimulator in order to teach students the power quality and to practice analysing the simulation results. In this paper, first thetheoretical aspect of simulation and simulator are described, and then the results are presented. Evaluation of the simulations usingmore than 40 students is very positive in terms of their developing confidence in and understanding of simulations.
