The Oligo-Miocene evolution of the northern Ebro Basin was mainly controlled by Pyrenean tectonics and, specially, through the sedimentary supply. Uplift episodes provoked alluvial progradations and are registered in sediments like coarsenig-upwards stratigraphic megaseguential trends, whereas erosive episodes provoked alluvial rétrogradations and are registered like finning-upwards megasequential trends. On the basis on both, a stratigraphic megasequential study and the existence of unconformities, three Tectosedimentary Units (TSUs) have been distinguished in this part of the basin. Dating of these units is based on the existence of two vertebrate localities in the area, and on the correlation with well-dated units located in the most central zones of the basin. These units corresponds to the T3, T4 and T5 TSUs defined for the Ebro Basin
