  • In this work, a new stratigraphic unit at the base of the Pliocene sedimentary filling of the Malaga basin is differentiated. This unit represents an alluvial fan-lagoon complex, which is deposited after the Messinian salinity crisis and before the open marine sedimentation of the earliest Pliocene.
