  El siguiente trabajo tiene como objetivo profundizar el conocimiento sobre las actividades que se desarrollaron en el sitio Villavil, localizado al norte del valle de Hualfín, provincia de Catamarca, Argentina. Se analizaron las características tecnomorfológicas y funcionales de los conjuntos cerámicos, como así también del material lítico asociado a la producción cerámica de uno de los recintos que conforman el sitio (Recinto Rectangular 1). Los resultados obtenidos han permitido profundizar acerca de las distintas etapas de producción cerámica y de los elementos líticos que habrían participado en su proceso de manufactura.

  The main objective of this paper is to improve the knowledge of the ancient activities in the site of Villavil, located in the northern Hualfin Valley, Catamarca, Argentina. The techno-morphology, functional ceramic characteristics, and lithic material associated to ceramic production from one structure forming the archaeological site (Rectangular Structure 1) has been analyzed. These results have helped to better understand the different stages of ceramic production and the lithic elements that would have been part of the manufacturing process.
