El greenmail y el tunnelling: entre la ética y el crecimiento económico

    El greenmail es utilizado por algunos empresarios o corredores de bolsa para realizar transferencias que beneficien a los accionistas mayoritarios de las organizaciones, por tal motivo se emplea como una estrategia de compra de información con el ánimo de aumentar los activos y obtener beneficios propios.

    Por otro lado, las empresas al emitir acciones y permitir que otras firmas compartan el patrimonio de la organización, se forman pirámides o tunneling las cuáles benefician también a los accionistas mayoritarios, pues estos toman las decisiones en las cuáles no permiten repartir las utilidades entre todas los accionistas, sólo son beneficiados los que poseen las acciones preferenciales.

    Por lo tanto, si las empresas colombianas acuden a estas dos prácticas muy cuestionadas por su ética, como estrategias para la toma de decisiones, permitirá menor esfuerzo de los ejecutivos y se obtendría resultados efectivos para aumentar los activos, pero a costa de la moralidad.

    Greenmail is used by some employers or brokers to make transfers that would benefit the shareholders of the organizations, which is used as a data acquisition strategy with the aim of increasing the company´s assets and gain benefits.

    On the other hand, companies issuing shares and by allowing other firms to have part of the assets of the organization, pyramids or tunnelings are formed which benefit the major shareholders, taking decisions in which do not allow to distribute the profits among all shareholders and benefiting only those with the preferred shares.

    Therefore, if Colombian companies use these two cuestioned practices for its ethic, as strategies for decision making, less effort by the executives will be allow, more effective results will be obtained to enhance the assets, but at the expense of morality.
