    El presente trabajo versa sobre la heráldica municipal en Andalucía. A través del análisis de diferentes escudos, encontramos una serie de elementos comunes en la heráldica de los municipios andaluces, los cuales se corresponden con símbolos mineros, como son el pico y la pala, el candil, el malacate, la vagoneta, el mazo y la chimenea. De esta manera, queda demostrada la importancia que tiene la minería en la actividad industrial, ya que se ve reflejada en sus escudos.

    The present work deals with the municipal heraldry in Andalusia. We find out through an analysis of different shields that there common elements in the heraldry of the Andalusian municipalities which correspond with mining symbols, such as the pick and the shovel, the oil lamp, the winch, the tipping skip, the mallet and the chimney. In this way, the importance of the mining industry in the industrial activity is demonstrated, being it reflected in their shields.
