Resumen de Los efectos del terremoto de Lisboa de 1755 en el hospital de Torrijos, Toledo (España)

  • The 1755 Lisbon Earthquake was the most destructive earthquake in the Europe history. This earthquake affected the entire Iberian Peninsula. The intensity of this earthquake was X (EMS-1998) and damaged the historical heritage of Spain. No damages were reported in historical documents inside of Torrijos, but is possible observe several Earthquake Archaeological Effects (EAEs) in the historical building of the Hospital of this city (15-16th century). The damages in this building are classified in this paper using the classification of EAEs, in order to study the strain structures and the seismic wave orientation.
