    The crisis is approached here as a specific experience of social change. The construction of such an experience requires an implicit theory that makes a shared experience of change possible. On the basis of observations collected in Portugal during the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding that defined the conditions of the financial assistance supplied to the country, We argue that the financial crisis revealed a state of competition between the implicit theories: one betting on the inputs of individuals, another on the inputs of organizations. There is a competitive situation in which the sociology of law analysis is obliged to participate, given the relevance of the law, together with other normativities, in the construction of these implicit theories.

    La crise est abordée ici comme une expérience spécifique de changement social. Celle-ci ne peut se construire que par le moyen d’une théorie implicite qui rend possible une expérience partagée du changement. Prenant appui sur des observations recueillies au Portugal pendant la période de mise en œuvre du Memorandum of Understanding définissant les conditions de l’assistance financière apportée au pays, nous avançons l’hypothèse que la crise révèle la concurrence entre deux théories implicites, l’une pariant sur la contribution des individus, l’autre sur celle des organisations. Une situation de concurrence à l’étude de laquelle la sociologie du droit se doit de participer, étant donné le rôle du droit, à côté d’autres normativités, dans la construction de ces théories implicites.
