El propósito de este trabajo es poner de manifiesto en qué medida las nociones de amistad / enemistad, estructuradas en torno al problema del máximo grado de alteridad política, y por tanto, regresivamente, sobre la máxima concentración de identidad política, informan el texto crítico-dogmático principal de Carl Schmitt en cuanto a lo jurídico-público y, por tanto, político: a saber, su Verfassungslehre. Ello a fin no de pensar a Schmitt, sino de pensar conSchmitt en lo que a nosotros, hoy, (constitucionalmente) concierne.

This essay attempts to evince the extent to which the notions of friendship / hostility as structured around the problem of the maximum degree of political alterity constitute the core of Carl Schmitt’s main critical-dogmatic text regarding the legal-public and, hence, political: i.e. his Verfassungslehre. The ultimate aim of this investigation is not to think about Schmitt himself, but to think about our own present in light of his thought.
