Los conflictos entre iglesia y Estado por los nombramientos eclesiásticos en el siglo XIX, se iniciaron con la ley de patronato de 1824, aprobada por los nuevos gobiernos de Colombia y Ecuador. La aplicación de dicha ley en ambos estados generó disputas y tensiones con la iglesia, por el control del poder en la jurisdicción de los nombramientos.
The conflicts between church and been by the ecclesiastical appointments in century XIX, began with the law patronage of 1824, approved by the new governments of Colombia and Ecuador. The applications of this law in both states generate disputes and tensions with the church, by the control of the power in the jurisdiction of the appointments.
