Patrimônio bibliográfico: A experiência de uma biblioteca de museu narrada por seus profissionais

    The text focuses on a one-year experience of activities at the Library of the Museum of the Capuchinhos of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The aim of this article was to reflect on the possibilities of increasing the involvement of the varied public of the Museum with its rare books collection, through educative actions opened to the community. In this sense, the human and material resources of both the Museum and its Library, as well as their technical and political particularities with respect to the work involving the cultural patrimony, are presented. In conclusion, it is evidenced the need of a permanent effort to help the community to better know and interact with the collection of the Museum Library, as determined by the mission of the institution.

    O texto trata da experiência de um ano de atividades na Biblioteca do Museu dos Capuchinhos do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. O objetivo deste artigo foi refletir sobre as possibilidades de ampliação do envolvimento do variado público do Museu com o seu acervo de livros raros, através de ações educativas franqueadas à comunidade. Nesse sentido, apresentam-se os recursos humanos e materiais do Museu e da sua Biblioteca e as particularidades técnicas e políticas com respeito ao trabalho envolvendo o patrimônio cultural. Como conclusão, evidencia-se a necessidade de um esforço permanente para ajudar a comunidade a melhor conhecer e interagir com o acervo da Biblioteca do Museu, como determina a missão da instituição.
