    La E.S. debe ser entendida como un proceso y para que sea eficaz ha de ser individualizada, centrada en los intereses y necesidades del enfermo y de la familia. Requiere de habilidades en las técnicas de comunicación, no trata de imponer sino de promover los estímulos y recursos del enfermo y de la familia para que puedan vivir cada día con el mejor grado de bienestar posible.

    En Cuidados Paliativos Domiciliarios, la E.S. es una herramienta imprescindible que posibilita al enfermo terminal poder ser cuidado en su domicilio, así se le facilita vivir la última parte de su vida en su hogar y entre los suyos. Pero además gracias a la E.S. la familia es capaz de cuidar a su ser querido de una forma exquisita que de otra manera no sería posible y de afrontar con menos sentimientos de impotencia la pérdida, es decir, promoviendo salud durante y después de enfermedad y fallecimiento.

    H.S. must be understood as a process, although it has to be individualised to be effective. It has to be centred in the unhealthy and his or her family. It requires skills on communication techniques, which we are not trying to command, but only to promote the stimuli and resources of the unhealthy and his or her family, for them to achieve the best welfare possible.

    Home Palliative Cares in H.E. is a basic tool that enables the terminally ill to be looked after at home by the family. Even more, thanks to H.E. the family is enabled to look after their relative more exquisitely.

    Otherwise, this would not be possible. Through H.E. we also comfort the family by minimising the negative feelings of loosing a beloved person through promoting health during and after the illness and dead of the unhealthy relative.
