¿Cómo hablar de Dios al hombre posmoderno? Un acercamiento al cristianismo

    En la época moderna la apuesta del hombre por la razón y su plena confianza en la ciencia y el progreso dieron paso a la muerte de Dios y a la irreligiosidad, tras lo cual aparece el vacío existencial. Decepcionado, el hombre posmoderno reconoce la necesidad de volver a Dios, pero no a través de las grandes religiones institucionalizadas como la Iglesia católica, sino por medio de formas epifeno-ménicas relativistas y reduccionistas que, lejos de llenar ese vacío existencial, lo intensifican. Aunado a ello el lenguaje religioso ha dejado de ser significativo para algunos creyentes, que lo consideran ajeno o distante, carente de sentido. Para abordar la pregunta “¿Cuál es la mejor forma de hablar de Dios al hombre de hoy que busca un sentido de vida?” conviene reflexionar sobre las caracterís-ticas que distinguen al hombre actual, el papel que juega la filosofía y algunos retos que enfrenta el cristianismo. Con base en ello se puede identificar que el testimonio de la fe, la comunicación indirecta y la hermenéutica analógica son opciones vigentes y viables para hablar de Dios

    In modern times, the society embraced reason, fully relying on science and progress. This gave way to the death of God and irreligiosity, plunging it into an existential vacuum. Disappointed, the postmodern society recognizes the need to return to God, not through the great institutionalized religions, such as the Catholic Church, but through relativistic and reductionist epiphenomenal forms. However, far from filling that existential void, it is intensified. In addi-tion to this, the religious language is no longer significant for some believers, considering it irrelevant or distant; meaningless. How can we speak of God to a society seeking the meaning of life in this postmodern context? What is the best form or the appropriate language? And what role does philosophy play in all this? From a religious and philosophical approach, and with an exploratory scope, this work provides: 1) An outline on the characteristics of postmoder-nity and the need to believe in God; 2) The theme of God from philosophy; 3) The distortion of Christianity and the great paradox; and 4) How to talk about God; an approach based on the testimony of faith, indirect communication, and analogical hermeneutics.
