    El objetivo de este artículo es estudiar los contenidos y las diferentes formas utilizadas en las peticiones enviadas por mujeres al Parlamento Inglés o a la Corona durante la segunda mitad del siglo diecisiete, prestando especial atención a la enorme diversidad de tópicos elegidos y a la recepción que tuvieron por parte de la sociedad.

    También pretendemos analizar sus discursos y las estrategias empleadas por estas mujeres para conseguir sus objetivos políticos.

    Englishwomen’s petitioning strategies during the 17th century-. The aim of this article is to study the contents and the diverse forms in which women wrote petitions to Parliament or to the Crown during the second half of the seventeenth-century paying attention to the hugh variety of topics chosen by them and the reception they had in society. We also intend to analyse their discourses and the strategies employed by these women with the objective of reaching their political goals.
