    En este artículo se presenta la determinación experimental de las curvas características de las principales bombas de las fuentes de Montjuic en Barcelona-España. Dichas curvas características se utilizaron posteriormente para determinar las características de los diferentes circuitos hidráulicos que constituyen la fuente. La conclusión principal del estudio se centra en la constatación de que las curvas características de muchos de los anillos estudiados tienen características de pérdidas similares. Con esto, los puntos de funcionamiento de las bombas al operar con diferentes anillos tendrán una escasa variación, asegurando que la fatiga a la que están sometidos los grupos de bombeo sea mínima. El sistema será utilizado para realizar en un futuro el mantenimiento predictivo de la instalación.

    This paper presents the experimental determination of the characteristic curves of the main pumps in the Montjuic fountains in Barcelona-Spain. These characteristic curves are later used to determine the characteristics of the different hydraulic circuits which make up the fountain. The principal conclusion of the study centers on the proof that the characteristic curves of many of the rings studied show that they have similar loss characteristics. Based on this, the working points of the pumps operating the different rings should demonstrate little variation, assuring that the fatigue to which the pumping groups are submitted would be minimal. The system will be used for future predictive maintenance of the installation.
