Dado el particular modo de explicar la realidad que tienen los estoicos, existeuna categor ́ıa espec ́ıfica para referir a la descripci ́on de una realidad que podr ́ıamosconsiderar individualy diferentea otras; me refiero a lo que ellos mentaban con laspalabrasἰδίως ποιός, que traducimos como individuo particularmente cualificado. Estacategor ́ıa cualifica a una entidad en cuanto espec ́ıfica y particular. Sin embargo, en uncontexto donde lo corp ́oreo refiere a todo lo que es, es f ́acil identificar apresuradamentelo corp ́oreo con lo material y admitir que la materia por si sola puede valer como uncriterio de identidad para las entidades individuales. El objeto del presente art ́ıculoes proponer una lectura que posibilite l ́ıneas argumentativas para armonizar el retoque presenta la descripci ́on de un individuo particularmente cualificado, admitiendola peculiar cosmovisi ́on estoica, por medio de la consideraci ́on de laψυχήcomoelemento coordinador de sus categor ́ıas y que, por consiguiente, es el elemento porconsiderar para una propuesta de criterio de identidad.

Given the distinct approach the stoics have to explain reality itself, there is anspecific category to refer to the description of such reality, which can be consideredas individualistic and much different than others; I mean none other than what theynamed with the wordsἰδίως ποιός, which can be roughly translated as particularlyqualified individual. This category qualifies an entity in terms of specificity andparticularity. Nonetheless, in a context in which the corporeal refers to everythingthat is, it is easy to identify in a hasty way all things corporeal with all thingsmaterial, and therefore comply in admitting that matter by itself can be estimatedas an identity criteria that applies to every individual entity. The objective ofthis investigation is to propose an interpretation that makes possible the necessaryargumentative lines to harmonize the challenge that pops up along with the descriptionof a particularly qualified individual, acknowledging at the same time the veryparticular stoic cosmovision, via the consideration of theψυχήas a coordinatingelement of its categories and, therefore, the element to take in account when advancinga criteria for identityproposal.
