Photogrammetric reconstruction systems continue to refine new methods that allow automatic reconstruction of complex objects using standard tools.
Nevertheless it is essential to control the data collection techniques and conditions, as well as the management of the data itself, in order to have a proper use of these powerful tools. This paper presents the results of the photogrammetric reconstruction of some sections of the Walls of Santo Domingo de la Calzada in La Rioja (Spain), aiming to link with the current research on the evolution of architecture representation methods, with a particular emphasis on the documentation of heritage.
