  En el siglo XX la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) incorpora la perspectiva de género en el desarrollo de sus funciones sustantivas, por lo que crea diversos programas en las diferentes facultades que forman la UNAM, entre los cuales está el Programa Institucional de Estudios de Género de la Facultad de Estudios Superiores Iztacala (PIEGI), el cual se creó en el 2003. El objetivo del presente trabajo es describir la historia y la situación actual del PIEGI mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas realizadas a las fundadoras, estudiantes y docentes que han participado en el programa

  In the Twentieth Century, Mexican Autonomus National University (UNAM) incorporates gender studies perspective in its general functions as an academical institution. According to this context, UNAM develops some academical programs in different Colleges. One of these programs is Gender Studies Institutional Program of the Iztacala College of Higher Education (PIEGI), which was created in 2003. The main goal of this paper is to describe the history and the actual situation of the PIEGI. To reach this goal, semi-structured interviews with founders, students and teachers of the PIEGI were hold and analyzed
