John Krosbein’s Commentary on the pseudo-Aristotelian "De plantis": A Critical Edition

  • John Krosbein is thought to have been active in the second half of fourteenth century and as such his commentary on De plantis is an isolated case, which lengthens the Pseudo-Aristotelian text's reception history. Furthermore, although Krosbein's paraphrase abbreviates the text it comments, it is influenced by Albert the Great's De vegetabilibus, constituting a case of the reception of Albert's work, as is shown by the critical edition of the text presented here.
