This paper examines a commentary of Aristotle's Peri hermeneias, preserved in a single manuscript in the Biblioteca Nacional de España, that is commonly attributed to the fourteenth-century theologian John of Monzón. However, internal evidence suggests that its author - who calls himself Muntisol and not Monzón - was a Parisian master of philosophy writing towards the middle of the thirteenth century.
