Based on the observation of religions involvement in the processes of national reconciliation and social peace reconstruction in sub-Saharan Africa, this article aims to verify the hypothesis of a regular impact from the sacred in general, and religions in particular, in the social and political sphere. The explanation of this phenomenon would lie in the deepening of traditional religion as a means of searching for harmonious life on a triple dimension: personal, community and universal in the ethnic group of the Moose in Burkina Faso as in others. Religion is a mediator of social and political peace and beyond. This article will seek to reopen the discussion on the complexity of the interactions between religion and society and their implications for the current context of globalization.
