Paisaje, patrimonio e identidad: la cultura geográfica en los Caballeros del Zodiaco, estereotipos para una serie

    En año 1986, se lanzó al mercado el comic Saint Seiya y, poco después, se produjo la exitosa serie conocida en España como los “Caballeros del Zodiaco”. Mucho ha llovido desde entonces, pero en lugar de caer en el olvido, los Caballeros del Zodiaco singuen en la actualidad en plena vigencia, acarreando legiones de seguidores, tanto de las series como del comic. Para nosotros, la serie se nos presenta como un medio idóneo para el análisis del patrimonio histórico‐artístico, el paisaje y de la construcción de las identidades que la misma refleja, creados a base de grandes estereotipos, sociales, culturales y patrimoniales. Los personajes, sus indumentarias, sus técnicas de combate y los espacios en los que se mueven, están marcadamente definidos por su propia cultura geográfica, que en cierta manera los determina. El objetivo de este trabajo es doble, por un lado analizar cómo las diferentes culturas geográficas son utilizadas como un hilo supranarrativo en la serie, a base de grandes estereotipos culturales, y por otro, analizar los anclajes temporales geográficos realizados por medio de obras de arte y arquitecturas repartidas por el mundo.

    In 1986, el Comic Saint Seiya was released into the Cinema market, and few months later, it was produced a successful T.V. serie , which it was called in Spain "Knights of the Zodiac". Too much has rained since that time, but instead of falling into oblivion, the Knights of Zodiac currently keep on in full force, with legions of followers, both on the series or coming from Comic. For us, that Serie is a nice and suitable medium for the analisys of the historical and artistic heritage, the landscape and the construction of identities that it can reflect, created on the basis of great social, cultural and patrimonial stereotypes. The characters, the outfit and the technics of combat, and the spaces in which they move are marked by their own geographic culture, and it determinates them in a certain way. This work has got two aims: in one hand, it analyze how different geographical cultures are used like a supranarrative thread in the Serie with high cultural stereotypes, and in the other hand, it analyze the temporary geographic anchorages made by means of works of Art, and architectural concepts spread around the world.
