Resumen de Cambio climático y turismo de interior en la Península Ibérica: el caso de la ciudad de Madrid

  El turismo, como actividad económica altamente dependiente del recurso clima, se va a ver seriamente afectado por el cambio climático. En esta comunicación el objetivo es caracterizar el modelo de aptitud climático‐turística futuro en un destino de interior, como es la ciudad Madrid. Para ello analizamos los cambios que experimentará el Índice Climático‐ Turístico de Interior (ICTI) a lo largo del presente siglo, de acuerdo con las previsiones de los modelos regionales de cambio climático en nuestra región. Los resultados muestran que a corto plazo ya se van a notar los efectos del cambio climático sobre el modelo climático‐turístico actual, pero será a partir de la segunda mitad del presente siglo cuando estos serán más significativos, mostrando un aumento importante de los días con estrés por calor, una disminución de los días con estrés por frío y una reducción de los días con sensación confortable.

  Tourism, as an economic activity highly dependent on the climate resource, is going to be seriously affected by climate change. In this communication, the objective is to characterize the model of future climate‐tourist suitability in an inland destination, as is the city of Madrid. In order to do this, we analyze the changes that the Inland Climate‐Tourist Index (ICTI) will experience throughout this century, according to the forecasts of the regional models of climate change in our region. The results show that in the short term the effects of climate change on the current climate‐tourist model will be noticed, but it will be from the second half of this century when these will be more significant, showing a important increase of the days with Heat stress, a decrease in days with cold stress and a reduction of days with comfortable feeling.
