Eduardo Nicol, la expresión como base metafísica de una teoría orteguiana de la cultura

    En este trabajo se explorará la posible continuidad entre Ortega y Gasset y Nicol en cuanto a sus aportaciones a una teoría de la cultura de raíces fenomenológicas y vitalistas. Parece que Ortega desarrolló con creces una teoría de la cultura y es posible que en Nicol también podamos encontrar aportaciones complementarias a la misma, especialmente en lo referido a sus bases metafísicas. Con este propósito serán analizados diferentes aspectos de la antropología y de la metafísica de Nicol, en especial, aquellos que hacen referencia a la vocación creativa del ser humano, a su ser histórico y a su ser expresivo.

    This paper will explore the possible continuity between Ortega and Nicol in terms of their contributions to a theory of culture with phenomenological and vitalist roots. It seems that Ortega has developed a remarkable theory of culture and it is possible that Nicol can also offer to us complementary contributions to it, especially referring to its metaphysical bases. For this purpose, different aspects of Nicol´s anthropology and metaphysics will be analyzed focusing on human creative vocation, his historical being and the expression.
