    Un recente tesoro contenente almeno 53 civette di imitazione ateniesi èpresentato e discusso. Il tesoro di monete è stato trovato da qualche parte indeterminatain Afghanistan. Un buon numero di monete sembra essere ateniese del cosiddetto stilepi, ci sono anche alcune monete imitative, egiziane e gli esemplari rimanenti con tipilevantini. La data può essere collegata alla presenza di Alessandro Magno inAfghanistan intorno al 327 a.C.

    A recent hoard containing at least 53 Athenian imitations owls is summarizedand discussed. The coin hoard was found somewhere indeterminate from Afghanistan.A good number of coins seems to be Athenians of the so–called pi style, there are alsosome imitative coins, Egyptian and the rest Levantine types. Dating can be linked to thepresence of Alexander the Great in Afghanistan around 327 B.C
