    Introducción. La información general al ingreso facilita la integración del paciente en el medio hospitalario. Objetivos. Determinar la información recibida por pacientes/cuidadores al ingreso, la percepción de los profesionales sobre el cumplimiento de normas y la influencia que esto tiene en el desgaste de los profesionales de enfermería. Método. Estudio descriptivo transversal mediante encuesta estructurada, realizado en Uni-dades de Medicina Interna del Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valladolid durante 2016. Participaron 73 pacientes, 107 cuidadores y 73 profe-sionales de enfermería obtenidos por muestreo intencional o de conveniencia. La recogida de datos se realizo a través de cuestionarios “ad hoc”. Resultados. El 43,6% de pacientes y 54,7% de cuidadores (81,8% y 76% respectivamente) recibieron información oral de la enfermera. El 53,3% de los profesionales reconoce presentarse por su nombre. El insuficiente cumplimiento de las normas se relaciona en un 72% con nivel de ansiedad alta. Conclusiones. El aceptable nivel de información que reciben pacientes/cuidadores no coincide con la percepción que tienen los profesionales del cumplimiento de las normas. El estrés generado es mayor en las enfermeras y no guarda relación con otras variables profesionales.

    The integration of the patient in the hospital environment is easier due to the general information received at admision. Objectives. To determine the information received by the patient/caregiver about the rules of operation in the Unit when the patient is admitted and determine the percep-tion of compliance with these rules by the nursing staff. To estimate how the level of compliance with these rules influences the work of nurses. Method. A cross-sectional descriptive study through a structured survey took place in Internal Medicine Units of the University Hospital of Valla-dolid during 2016. This study involved 73 patients, 107 caregivers and 73 nurses obtained by intentional or convenience sampling. The data collection was done through “ad hoc“ surveys. Results. The patient and caregiver are provided at 43,6% and 54,7% of information respectively, by the nurse orally, in 81,8 y 76%. The 53,3% of staff recognises to introduce themselves by their first name. There are differences between the levels of information from patients/caregivers and the perception of compliance with the rules by the staff. The low compliance of the rules is related in a 72% with a high level of anxiety. Conclusions. The level of information of patient/caregiver is not the same as the staff perception of compliance of the rules. This is the reason why the nursing staff suffer from stress, mostly nurses, and it doesn’t keep relationship with other professional variables.
