The purpose of this research was to propose didactic strategies to facilitate the study of linear algebra in the Mathematics and Mathematics Degree programs of the Universidad del Atlántico. It was based on the theories: learning styles, diagnostic and improvement procedures (ALONSO ET AL. 2011), meaningful learning (AUSUBEL, 1968), teaching strategies for meaningful learning (DÍAZ AND HERNÁNDEZ, 2002), among others. It was oriented under the positivist, projective paradigm with non-experimental, transectional and field design. It was found that the strategies most used by teachers are those that allow activating and generating expectations in the students.
