    La investigación indagó el impacto social que genera la Omisión de auxilio en accidente de tránsito en la ciudad de Hernandarias del año 2014. El tipo de investigación es cuantitativo, de un nivel descriptivo y diseño no experimental. Los instrumentos de recolección de datos utilizados fueron: la encuesta y revisión documental de los casos registrados de accidentes con omisión de primeros auxilios en las Fiscalías. Se constató que en Hernandarias sucedieron casos de accidentes en donde las víctimas son abandonadas por sus victimarios. Se verificó a través de las informaciones recolectadas, que las autoridades competentes no han actuado en defensa de los afectados como exige su idoneidad, aplicando sanciones a aquellas personas que cometieron una acción u omisión de auxilio a las víctimas. Las tres unidades fiscales cuentan con datos estadísticos del año 2014, un total de 31 casos de carpetas abiertas para la investigación fiscal que no se ha diligenciado en tiempo y forma, es decir, no se aplicó ninguna de las medidas establecidas en el Código Procesal Penal. Las víctimas de accidentes de motos con omisión de auxilio también afirmaron que algunos permanecen mutilados, deprimidos, con baja autoestima y los familiares son los que solventaron los gastos que demandó el tratamiento médico.

    The research investigates the social impact generated by the omission of aid in traffic accidents in the city of Hernandarias in 2014. The type of research is of a descriptive, quantitative, and non- experimental design. The means of data collection that were used were: the survey and document review of the cases of accidents where an omission of first aid was registered in the Prosecutors Office. In the city of Hernandarias there have been found situations where the victims were abandoned by the perpetrators of said accidents. Relevant information has also demonstrated that the authorities involved did not act in the defense of the injured as is required by law. They did not apply sanctions to those who committed offenses where the omission of aid occurred. The statistical data for 2014 of the three units of the prosecution involved was obtained for fiscal research and 31 open cases were found where the investigation of the prosecution had not been undertaken with due diligence of both time and manner , so resulting in the lack of application of measures established in the penal code. The victims of motorcycle accidents where omission of aid occurred also claim that some were maimed, depressed or suffered low self-esteem while the costs of the Medical treatment incurred had to be met by family members.
