Resumen de Escala de valores en profesionales de enfermería activos de República Dominicana

  Dados los procesos de revisión curricular que se desarrollan en el país, en el marco de las reformas en los servicios de salud, se realizó una investigación con el objetivo de analizar la escala de valores en profesionales de enfermería de República Dominicana, durante el período mayo 2017-julio 2018. El estudio es transversal, tipo cuantitativo. Se aplicó el Test de Reacción Valorativa a 203 enfermeros profesionales dominicanos que laboran en centros de salud públicos y privados de siete ciudades, seleccionados por disponibilidad y respetando la ética de investigación social. Los datos se analizaron con Excel y SPSS. La escala de valores se organizó de acuerdo con la frecuencia de puntuaciones máximas obtenidas por los sujetos en las categorías y mostró este orden: 1) individuales, 2) afectivos, 3) intelectuales, 4) morales, 5) sociales, 6) estéticos y 7) religiosos. Las diferencias entre categorías resultaron significativas al 0.01 pero sin relación con la edad, la institución formadora ni la religión. Mientras contestaban el test, los sujetos mostraron distintos tipos de reacciones verbales y anímicas que permitieron comprender los resultados estadísticos. Las tres primeras categorías demuestran que estos profesionales tienen interés en la superación y disposición anímica para brindar servicio desinteresado y amable. Las tres últimas categorías revelan rechazo hacia valores relacionados con la política, gremios, bellas artes y dogmas religiosos contrarios a la fe aceptada. Se concluye que las escuelas de formación profesional deben trabajar para mantener el equilibrio y reforzar los valores con presencia débil, a través de la inclusión de principios éticos en el currículo con proyección hacia sus egresados.

  Given the curricular revision processes that takesplace in the country, within the framework of the reforms in the health services, a research was carried out with the objective of analyzing the scale of values of the nursing professionals in the Dominican Republic, during the period May 2017-July 2018.The study is transversal and quantitative. The Valuation Reaction Test was applied to 203 Dominican professional nurses who work in public and private health centers in seven cities, selected for availability and respecting the ethics of social research. The data was analyzed with Exceland SPSS.The scale of values was organized according to the frequency of maximum scores obtained by the subjects in the categories and showed this order: 1) individual, 2) affective, 3) intellectual, 4) moral, 5) social, 6) aesthetic and 7) religious. While they answered the test, the subjects showed different types of verbal and psychic reactions that allowed them to understand the statistical results.The first three categories show that these professionals have an interest in overcoming and animating to provide selfless and friendly service. The last three categories reveal rejection towards values related to politics, guilds, fine arts and religious dogmas contrary to accepted faith. It is concluded that vocational schools must work to maintain balance and reinforce values with a weak presence, through the inclusion of ethical principles in the curriculum with projection towards their graduates.
