Análisis comparativo en el uso de las TICs para aplicaciones educativas de la competencia tecnológica

    En el mundo globalizado que se vive hoy, es necesario cada vez más el uso de herramientas que faciliten y agilicen el intercambio de información. Sin embargo, todavía hay un rezago muy importante en la “alfabetización” de gran número de personas en los medios digitales.

    Uno de los sectores que manifiesta este atraso en México es el de la educación. En muchísimas aulas del país usan exclusivamente el pizarrón y la tiza, y en algunos casos ni eso. Sin embargo, aunque pocas son las instituciones donde hay un adelanto tecnológico afín a las expectativas mundiales, sí emplean las computadoras, y variados dispositivos electrónicos en el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje.

    En este artículo se analizan la diversidad de herramientas de las denominadas Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación o TICs, resaltando los beneficios que estas pueden traer al salón de clase, pero también haciendo énfasis en los aspectos negativos que pueden afectar, tanto a los alumnos como al objetivo del quehacer docente.

    In the globalized world we live today, it is necessary to increasingly use tools that facilitate and expedite the exchange of information. However, there is still a very important lag in "literacy" of a large number of people regarding to digital media.

    One of the sectors that suffer this delay in Mexico is education. Many classrooms in the country teachers exclusively use blackboard and chalk, and sometimes not even that. However, although there are few institutions where there is a technological breakthrough akin to the world's expectations, and do use computers and a wide variety of electronic devices in the teaching-learning process.

    This article discusses the diversity of tools of the so-called information and communication technologies, or ICTs, highlighting the benefits that they can bring to the classroom, but also emphasizing on the negative aspects that can affect both students and the objective of the educator’s task.
