    L’estudi fa una revisió textual del poemari La nit (1956), de Vicent Andrés Estellés, a partir de les diferents edicions i d’alguns documents originals exis-tents. En primer lloc, data cadascun dels textos del poemari i analitza com la cronologia explica l’estructura de l’obra. Després, documenta les variants entre edicions i originals i les contrasta. A més, es recupera el poema «Men-trestant ve la nit», apartat des de la primera edició de 1956 i no tornat a editat en el llibre —al capdavall la primera ègloga que va publicar l’autor—, alhora que el relaciona amb un esborrany d’un altre text inèdit del mateix moment. Finalment, es caracteritzen els últims poemes de l’obra, els més agosarats, en vincular-los al condicionament biogràfic de la mort de la seua primera filla.

    This study is a textual revision of the book of poems The Night (1956) by Vicent Andrés Estellés, based on the different editions and some original exis-ting documents. Firstly, it dates each of the texts from the book and analyses how the chronology explains the structure of the work. Then, it gives docu-mentary evidence on the variations between editions and originals and con-trasts them. Furthermore, it revives the poem “In the Meantime the Night Comes”, which was omitted from the first edition of 1956 and was never again published. This is the first eclogue that the author published, and it is related to a draft of another unpublished text from the same time. Finally, the last poems in the work, the most daring ones, are characterised by being con-nected to the biographical circumstance of the death of his first daughter.
