    Resumen: Este trabajo analiza el proceso de defección de algunos actores políticos centrales - la Iglesia Católica, el poder judicial y la prensa masiva- que habían sido aliados centrales del régimen dictatorial argentino (1976-1983), especialmente en su apoyo a la lucha antisubversiva. El objetivo es mostrar que en ese proceso de distanciamiento incorporaron el “problema de los desaparecidos” y el reclamo de respuestas sobre la “represión ilegal” como una forma de socavar el poder militar, especialmente a partir de 1982.

    Abstract: This article analyzes the defection process of certain key political figures - the Catholic Church, the judiciary and the mass media - that had been central allies of the Argentine dictatorial regime (1976-1983), especially in their support of the anti-subversive struggle. The purpose is to show that in this process of defection, they denounce the “problem of the disappeared” and demand answers for the “illegal repression” as a way of undermining the military’s power, especially from 1982.
